Experience Rural Life

A farmstay near Pune where the day runs on sunlight, home cooking and the Sahyadri hills.

Sujalam Sufalam is a farmstay near Rajgad Fort, about 60 km from Pune, in the Sahyadri hills of the Western Ghats. Rajgad stands on the ridge above, Torna is close by, and a river runs below the farm. Leave the city behind and the noise drops away with every kilometre.

Life here keeps the farm’s pace. Meals are Maharashtrian home cooking, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and they come through the day: lunch when you arrive, high tea as the light turns gold, dinner after dark, breakfast in the cool of the morning. Between them, there’s nothing you have to do.

So you do the things the city never leaves room for. Walk down to the river. Finish the book you keep meaning to read. Watch the hills change colour at sunset. Then step outside after dark. Far from city lights, the sky here is one of the darkest within reach of Pune.
